Founded in 2000, our practice has grown from only 5 employees to a talented staff of almost 100 caregivers, due to the vision of Dr. Sherry Weaver.
Following her original Mission statement of “Providing the best medical care available through advanced technologies applied with tender care”, we have become a prominent veterinary care center for pets and their families in North Georgia. We have been honored to have been voted “best of” in our community, consecutively since 2007.

The practice focuses on three areas of pet care:
Medical, including minor issues, sickness, and emergency care. Our practice is open 24 hours a day and is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools including, digital imaging, endoscopic viewing, ICU hospitalization, and aggressive pain management.
Wellness care is the backbone of our practice and ensures the pets we see will have all the tools they need to grow to be healthy, long-living family members.
Luxury services include our boarding facility “The Lodge” and spa services including bathing and award-winning grooming services.

I had to bring my dog Dewey here bc he had something stuck in his throat. He was evaluated and we were put in an exam room bc he was stable and they were very busy. Once he was seen the cause was removed and we were sent home. Everyone I spoke with were fantastic. It was a great experience for an emergency vet and if ER needed again definitely will return and recommend....

My teacup Yorkie had a piece of jerky stuck in her esophagus. I thought it would pass, but she was so lethargic and tired. I had to take her to an emergency room. After x-rays, they realized it was lodged in her esophagus and had to have it removed. And thanks to Dr. Weaver, Dr. Kerry and Dr. Martin she made a full recovery and the staff were phenomenal. I highly recommend...

My kitty ate a piece of the Christmas tree and he was ill. I was anxious because he gets violent when we go to the vet😳 But they handled him with grace and prescribed him medication that worked quickly, it got him eating again and stopped his vomiting quickly. They were prompt and empathetic to my concerns and put a cat momma at ease. Thank yall so much!

Amazing experience! Our little Gizmo hurt himself falling off the bed. We came here and they got us in quickly, everyone was so nice and friendly, they took great care of our baby, and I will definitely come back here before anyone else!

This was our first visit here. The staff was fantastic and took great care of my 6 yr old dog. She had to stay for 17 hours and the doctor and the techs were so good about calling us and keeping us updated on her progress. If you ever have an emergency with your fur baby, I definitely recommend Animal Hospital of Towne Lake!
